Crista has spent the past few years traveling the globe to teaching her transformative workshop The Working Artist. When she wanted to bring this programme online so any artist could access these tools, she turned to crowd-funding; and through the generous donations artists around the world, Crista exceeded her fund-raising goal. Seven months later, The Working Artist went online.
Since that time, Crista has been teaching others to crowd-funding, using the tools she learned. “Crowd-funding,” she says, “is not for the faint of heart. But if you have time to plan and passion to execute, there’s no better way to raise money and bring attention to your project. In fact, the benefits of crowd-funding go well beyond money and include community-building, market research, and strategic partnerships.
Using crowd-funding to finance The Working Artist was the best business move I could have made.”
